Wondering CX waitlist...?
Hi everyone,
I've searched a lot of threads about this waitlist system... Is it said that the waitlist system searches the inventory regularly and if seats open up, anyone could take it? It made me super frustrating since my days are not that flexible and are around Christmas. I waitlisted 18 FLTs for the round trip including one leg to Asia and one back. Wondering if anyone has similar experience with this system?
Heard JFK has a good availability, and I added EWR too. Waitlisting undrer U (J award) and Z (F award) class.
Thanks in advance.

They are all waitlisted including two classes, so actually only about 11 FLTs - if any of them opens up I would take it... But it seems like all flights are pretty much full.

Agent said so... But many friends would say it checks regularly so there is a time gap when seats could be taken away. Thx anyway.

F availability is usually pretty good for JFK on a given day(given that there are 4 flights). I remember a post a while ago about the loophole in the waitlist system where one could potentially snag the seats in between the periodic scans done by the system. If I can recall correctly, the system only scans for inventory at a set time in th day (presumably only once a day).
