I have a waitlist flight for apr 24, hkg-sfo. That flight has tons of seat but they still won't release the seats. I really doubt your flight will clear on or before apr 4 for a flight almost a month away on a busy route. I also have confirm seats for apr 10 sfo-hkg, but want to switch to a apr 9 flight with J9I9Y9 and they still haven't clear that.
But don't lose hope, CX is one of the best program in releasing seats right up to departure if they have available seats. It's stressful, but at T-7 or T-4 you should hear something from CX.

New Itinerary:
CX255 Business Class (30/4)
CX254 Business Class (6/5)
Both flights waitlisted, with 1 award ticket and 1 companion ticket, is the chance of getting these flights confirmed near 100%?

So basically you went from a confirmed companion award for:
30/4: CX255 + 7/5: CX252
....to changing it to confirmed 30/4 CX253 for 3X tickets.
....and now back to wailisting 30/4 CX255 X2 award tickets???!
Good luck. [/thread]

we're puzzled about why you're waitlisting at all if you had three confirmed seats on an outbound?
Really, you need to subscribe to KVS or ExpertFlyer. We're happy to help, but what you're looking for is so confusing -- and your requests for information so numerous -- that you'll probably be happier being able to check yourself.

To all you contributors to this thread stand by for all the questions which will be wanting to know what kind of lettuce is used in the salad. What kind of aftershave will the pilot be wearing & the compulsory best seat questions.
