I really hope they start giving out something else other than Evian.

I really hate it~

It's expensive and it tastes bad.

Apparently Bonaqua water is treated by reverse osmosis. But not sure why you pick up any bottled water in Thailand (all reverse osmosis) the quality tastes miles ahead....

Really first world problem - but both Bonaqua and Dasani on F sounds odd to me.

PS: This thread is ridiculously funny.

+1

I know people who swear by this brand, however I prefer anything but Evian.

I am not sure why you are here mocking at the CX regulars sharing the drinking options.

I find it informative to know my water options.

Bonaqua is reserve osmosis Dongjiang River water (aka HK water supply). Tastes good with mainland pollution. And guess what, it is bottled by ...(drum roll)... Swire!

IF reverse osmosis is done properly, you can turn non-portable water into pure clean drinking water. Then again, a big IF.

Personally prefer distilled water, but seems it's not too common on CX.

Are all Dasani waters reserve-osmosis as well ? From what I can remember, Dasani water in North America tastes off as well. (Not sure about Dasani in India or Mauritius). Maybe this is the standard of all Coca-Cola branded water ? Swire happens to be Coca-Cola's bottling company here in Hong Kong.

Dasani is reverse osmosis water and I find it better than many of the the other stuff on the market.

Datapoint: I flew CX879 SFO-HKG yesturday in F. I was offered crystal geyser after takeoff (same as the other pax). However, mid-flight after finishing the bottle I had, I went to the galley to ask for another bottle. The FA pulled out a bottle of Evian from the cooler and gave it to me without me having to specifically request it. I guess they do load Evians but only gives it out on request

Some updates from a recent trip

CX716: Large Evian bottles, regular top ups after the crew realized that I was really thirsty
CX888: Large Evian bottles for the main service, small Evian bottles handed out post the main service (both for HKG-YVR, and YVR-JFK)
YVR Stop on 888: Small "Naya" bottles at the boarding gate.
CX841: Large Evian bottles for the main service, small Crystal Geyser handed out, but the later requests got Evian

Just flew on CX 845 JFK-HKG in PY. Each seat had a bottle of Evian in the seat pocket.

I kindly asked if there was an alternative, but was given a "... this is best why would you want something else" look.
