Open jaw itinerary is allowed.

This offer is not applicable to flights between Hong Kong and the following cities: Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Vancouver, Amsterdam, London, Moscow, Rome, and Auckland.

Eligible award types:
-One-way and round-trip Standard Awards in Economy Class
-Priority Awards
-One-way and round-trip Upgrade Awards (except upgrades to First Class)
Sounds like a great deal for upgrade awards.
But must be done by phone booking or online 'request' form.

Doesn't help me at all. No seats available from all European ports (excluding Moscow which is not applicable in this case) late June even as a MPC Gold member.

Furthermore no changes can be made after 30MAR, that means even later when some seats are opened I cannot change to those.

Maybe cancel and rebook? will the 30% saving worth the penalty?

I have a few tickets I want to issue in coming days!

"2. This offer is applicable to mixed-carrier itineraries on Cathay Pacific and Dragonair (excluding upgrade awards). "

Does this mean an itinerary with at least one segment on CX/KA can be done with the whole itinerary 30% off? Or just the one segment 30% off?

(sorry this question should be directed to MPO, but 2747 5500 and 2747 3838 have been totally engaged for the last hour)

Try 2747 3888.

I never had problems and they answer within 30 secs

Seems like u can as one trip (if it is return trip). If it is Oneway then will be an average of 2 sectors.

Savings is only 6750 miles so not sure if that's worth paying the US$120 reissue fee.

correctioncx - think I get the answer to my q if I read conditions 1 and 2 together - valid only on CX/KA flights, including mixed rewards. So you can't get 30% on the non-CX/KA segments.

midlevels - HK$0.139/mile, definitely not (at least for me).
6,750 miles still better than the two commercial property speculators who abandoned $1.5M and $2.5M deposits respectively after last Fri's stamp duty hike http://hk.news.yahoo.com/%E9%9B%99%E...3--sector.html

how about US$120 for 30000miles?

actually i have redeemed 2 tickets early this month and i think it worths the penalty. but i don't know anything about the cancellation and rebook procedures, plus there's now no available award seats for my travel dates, i definitely don't want to lose my seats.

Reissue fee is US$100 - not US$120. My earlier post was in error.

I called MPC to ask about reissue, they said it's possible @ US$100 per ticket but they have to cancel the booking and rebook - so they can't use the original booking, which means that you might not get seats when you try to rebook.
