Hi Sam7, mind to tell what status with MPC you are currently have? DM, GO or SL?

I just wonder as a CXGR, will the anniversary upgrade still available? or are there any time limit?

Thanks!

I got an opup this year (16th anniversary). I was travelling on the exact day. They even credited me with the 25% bonus. Plus I also notice I have been getting opups for the first flight of a new membership year.

i did not know this thread existed until just now and so was very pleasantly surprised when the agent mentioned i was being upgraded Y to J for my 10-yr anniversary. this was on a CX 549 HND-HKG that was quite empty in all cabin classes. i was asking if i could get a seat in the unsold PEY cabin and she mentioned she is putting me in J !!

she even asked if i was traveling with a companion mentioning she could upgrade that person as well. the ISM greeted and congratulated me on my anniversary on board. during the flight, i walked back to the unsold PEY cabin on this 74H, there were six or seven pax sitting there.

for reference, this flight was exactly 3 weeks past my anniversary date (and my first one since then).

That's great! Are you still SL or higher now?

Got an upgrade for flights (RT) I took with my wife 3 days ago and yesterday on my 12th year anniversary.
Both of us upgraded on both flights

I dont know if it was mentioned before but they only upgrade short haul flights for anniversary. When i had my 5 yr one I flew from SFO to HKG and got my upgrade from HKG to TPE... Not that I would care for a 1 hr flight...

I have 10 yrs today, flying out from FRA to HKG next week... will see what happens

I recently had my 5 year anniversary, and was upgraded from J to F on JFK-HKG. I'm not sure how they do it - sorry to hear you didn't get the upgrade on the long flight.

Curious....

Do they go purely by the "Member Since" date?
Any one had any experience where they been upgraded by their "Membership Year"?

ie. Member since August 1, 2000
Membership year Feb 1 to Jan 31.

Anyone received upgraded during the Feb 1 week ish as an "anniversary upgrade"?

Well, I've been SL, GO for a year, DM for many years now, and never receive "anniversary upgrade", but I have never tried to fly on my "member since" date, but just wanted to say I've never been anniversary upgrade by "Membership Year" like you said.
