But then they've denied my claim as expedia.com shows the USD rate despite I am paying in AUD at the hotel...
Have you checked expedias australian pages? I often book on local OTA sites to get the same currency

I have read this forum a quite long time but never before though I have something to say.
Today I felt so happy with my successful BRG claim that I decided to post it here.

I booked yesterday Radisson Blu Crete with half board at price 266€/night.
Free cancellation until 17th August.

Found same room with half board at price 189,50€/night from bookgreece.com
Only difference was that bookgreece.com allowed free cancellation until 24th August; a whole week longer that Club Carlson.

I have had a case that Club Carlson didn't match because of better cancellation policy in an OTA. Therefore I was pretty sure that my claim won't be successful.
But this time they answered in 23 hours:
Dear BorussiaPool,

We appreciate your submission of a Best Rates Guarantee claim.

I have researched your claim and confirmed a lower rate on another website. Your rate is now 142.16 EUR per night, which includes a 25% discount and tax.

This email serves as your confirmation for the Best Rates Guarantee. Your confirmation number will remain the same. Please keep this information for your records.

Regards,

Eva, Global Best Online Rate Guarantee Specialist

Over 120€ discount per night without any fighting and sending mails after mails which is my normal experience with Club Carlson.
I have booking for 10 days. I feel lucky.

The rate for Park Inn in Nuremberg is €58 but on at least 4 different UK websites, Ebookers, Expedia etc is £48. I can't seem to find this rate on any German version of a website as German Expedia or Ebookers is the same price in Euros as Park Inn. From reading a few posts I know I have to have a BRG in the same currency as the Park Inn website. What websites do people in the UK use when trying to submit a BRG against the Park Inn which quotes in Euros?

Ok, I'm looking for Amsterdam.

Radisson €181.15 plus estimated taxes €194.93 advance saver so non refundable.

I've seen a rate on Amoma in Euros semi flexible until 9/12 and includes breakfast €181 taxes and fees included. Has anyone else used Amoma and would they match the price?

How long is the turnaround between submitting the claim and hearing back? I submitted one 3-4 days ago and haven't heard anything since then.

Got an approval this morning, less than 48h, and it was over a week-end.

You should contact [email protected]

In my experience, the online claim form is quite temperamental, sometimes it doesn't go through, or at least customer service told me so.
This time I emailed the completed pdf claim form :

https://www.parkinn.com/galleries/pa...ug%202017).pdf

Very old-school, indeed, but it worked !

Do you know if I want to pay for upgrade my BRG will be void, as for example HH claims it does.? and then have to pay full price? have booking at park plaza in london but just basic room, facing internal and could try to upgrade it on nor1 for some cash. They sent me an email with offers but they are higher than nor1

I've had no reply to my emailed BRG claim. I see from a post above the email address might be [email protected] but on the claim form it states [email protected]

Nice way to eat up 2 days and reduce the chance of the lower rate still being there.

I'm really put off Radisson by this experience. I've seen rooms so much cheaper than direct. It seems a crappy way to encourage loyalty and direct booking.

Pathetic has been the answer to my claim, last night I received, 6 days later, the negative response that my claim has not been approved for sending it out of the established period of 24 hours from booking, when the truth was that I sent the claim exactly 3 hours after the booking.

Now to protest and wait...6?...14 days? when my stay claimed is within 3 weeks

I have submitted 6 BRG claims in the past 3 years. All were denied based on some illogical explanations. Will not bother again.

Still no response to my claim. Hard to see a reason to book direct as a gold member when you get higher prices and such poor treatment.

I am in the same boat, it has been a week and four emails and still no response. Radisson have become an absolute joke.

Finally a reply after more than a week.

Claim rejected because of some unspecified difference in the cancellation policy. (They were both refundable and identical in every aspect I can see.)

The reply was curt and dismissive. The email address on their BRG form is wrong. They do not reply within the stated 48 hours (not even close) and when they do, it's rude.

I'm really surprised to discover that Radisson treats members with such contempt.

The BRG does not exist as a way for members to score a big discount on a room, it exists to assure members that when they book direct with Radisson they will get the best price and if they don't then it will be rectified.

Instead, the BRG scheme has been constructed and is operated according to a very tightly defined set of rules designed to let them deny any claim.

It's about trust and about loyalty.

Loyalty is a two way street. Why should anyone book direct with Radisson when they treat their members so badly?

I never realised how much cheaper Radisson rooms were at 3rd party sites.

If Radisson operate their BRG scheme so tightly as to make it unusable because they think all people will do is try to exploit it, then why not just ensure that booking direct gives the best price?

By the way I am talking about price differences between £50 and almost £100 cheaper per night for the same room with same flexibility and same inclusions.
