Do elite benefits apply on award stays?
I'm asking because I thought they did, but just looked at the terms and conditions:
https://www.clubcarlson.com/section/...ions.sidemenus
The benefits page says most things apply on Eligible Stays, and that refers to Eligible Rate, which is defined as "a rate identified in Carlsons reservation system as eligible for Gold Points".
I assume that "eligible for Gold Points" means you can earn points on that rate. Which would exclude award stays.

Most hotels offer benefits...
Even if the T&C's don't guarantee the elite benefits, in my experience most hotels still offer them. I've received upgrades on reward stays, even including free breakfast an other perks!

If anything, when it comes to Carlson hotels, I seem to get at least marginally better elite benefit treatment on award stays using a Gold status account than I do on non-award night stays.
