Terms and Conditions

You must be a Club CarlsonSM member to participate in the “Points or Nights” promotion (“Promotion”). Promotion is valid between November 4, 2014 and December 30, 2014 (“Promotion Period”). To be eligible to earn 20 bonus Gold PointsŽ per US. Dollar spent in addition to the 20 standard Gold Points per U.S. Dollar spent (“Double Points”), or one bonus Eligible Night for each Eligible Night (“Double Nights”), members must register online for the Promotion at clubcarlson.com/pointsornights, provide their Club Carlson number at the time of reservation or at check-in, and complete an Eligible Stay at participating Quorvus CollectionSM, Radisson BluŽ, RadissonŽ, Park PlazaŽ, Park InnŽ by Radisson and Country Inns & Suites By CarlsonSM hotels worldwide during the Promotion Period. A maximum of 20 bonus Eligible Nights may be earned per stay. Stays or nights paid for by redeeming Gold Points or by using Points + Cash are not eligible for this Promotion. Members only need to register once, but registration must be received before checkout of the first Eligible Stay to qualify. Member’s selection of Double Points or Double Nights applies to all Eligible Stays completed during the Promotion Period and cannot be changed.

The Promotion is subject to all Club Carlson Terms and Conditions. Club Carlson reserves the right to add, modify, or discontinue Promotion without notice. When does CC resets the stayed nights info? At the end of the year ?

And also, how does it handle my stayed nights if I can't reach higher level? Just puts it back to 0 ? Or just puts back to 15 stays and asks me to start from there? I am Silver Elite right now

No, but I'd like to know! I sent them an email via the contact form at their web site. They said they'd reply within 3 business days, or if not, then to call.

Wish they'd just post the participation list like SPG and others do...

So am I to take it from T&C wording in regards to "complete" a stay by Dec 30 that a stay starting on say Dec 29 and finishing (check out) on Jan 1 would not qualify?

Bit of a bummer if so. I will consider if it is worth tinkering with the bookings (e.g. splitting them with a second stay from Dec 30 on under my GFs name).

Would also be interested in the "participating" properties before bothering.

I got this too. Quite misleading. In my country we have a saying that goes like this: "Yes please, I'll have both". (or it's rather Winnie the Pooh that says this)

The promo email says :

This says/implies that bookings made before 4 Nov are not eligible. The T&Cs don't say anything, other than " Promotion is valid between November 4, 2014 and December 30, 2014".

Must reservations made before 4 Nov be cancelled and rebooked in order to qualify ?

I did not separately receive an e-mail advising of this promotion, but the link has no such requirement that only bookings made after November 4, or after registration will count towards this promotion.

Further, the terms and conditions only require that registration for this promotion be received before one checks out. Moreover, as I have noted above, the registration confirmation e-mail only states that you are now registered to earn credit towards the promotion of your choice.

Consequently, I think one has a pretty good argument that stays booked prior to the registration will count.

They confirmed that it was double points, despite the incorrect language. I signed up another member's account and the incorrect verbiage was gone.

Answering myself

Had a 2-4-1 weekend stay and got double points for all except the 35% gold bonus. I had 2 rooms and both credited double points. In total a nice 15000 points (including the 3k book by App promo points) for the weekend, nice!
