Book an award night for someone else?

Hi FT,

First post here, so go easy on me!

Is it possible for me to book a night at a hotel with points for my GF?

It would be reserved/paid through my CC account with my points and I won't be there myself.

Thanks!

/MrC

Yes you can, just select 'guest' or equivalent of when making the booking.

Did this for my sister in March and she got my concierge benefits as well (but no guarantee!)

I am a cardmember of the Carlson Visa. When I reserve, the Website asks if the room is for me or someone else. If it's for someone else, it lets me book just fine, but I do not get a bonus free night.

Makes sense. Can you imagine the number of "free nights" that would end up on eBay otherwise?
