points for food?
When staying on a promo rate CARLSONF, I realise that no points will accrue - but what about associated spending in the hotel ( meals ) ?

IME you unfortunately earn no points whatsoever, even though the T&C allow the earnings of points on non-qualifying rates. Since the FAF rates are quite good, I never complain since I figure not earning any points is just part of the deal.

Jasper that's well put. The point earnings are less material than enjoyment of a reasonable price rate, agreed.
