Best Radisson Blu in Europe, for new years?

i'm looking to blow 50,000 points for 1 night in a fancy Radisson for new years. Considering Spain, Italy, France, Germany.... etc. I'm CC Gold. Considering nice upgrades, good location, expensive price (since i'm using points anyways), tallest building, 5 star properties? I've never stayed at a 5 star and think maybe that would make for a cute new years date!

opinions would be great! trying to fit together a nice first time trip to Europe!

My girlfriend and I recently came back from our first trip to Europe. We too capitalized on our Radisson Blu points. We stayed at a Radisson Blu in London, Paris (actually stayed at two different Blu's in Paris), and Madrid.

Our favorite was The Mayfair in London. The RB Madrid Prado was also very nice and centrally located. You'll likely find that the Blu hotels in Paris are a little smaller than what you'll find elsewhere, but they are also nice. We stayed at RB Champs Elysses and Le Dokhan.

Good luck with you decision!

The Mayfair on my last stay there had the same regular room as mine on sale for well over $500/night. I am not sure I would call it a five star hotel, but it is one of the highest end properties in the Club Carlson portfolio.

In London the Plaza on the River (careful: Not the Park Plaza Riverbank, even though it's the same building, but different reception area and lifts) is an exceptional property - Luxury 5 star. Check out tripadvisor for reviews. Might be an issue to still get a room there though given it's right by the river and New Year's Eve. Vienna also has an excellent all city-centre party for NYE (highly recommended) and excellent properties - but normally booked out months before.

I think your biggest challenge will be to still find a 5 star property in any desirable city with NYE availability

If you want to go to Turkey the Radisson Blu Bosphorus is a very nice property on the water. Very trendy and awesome location. The Radisson Royal in Moscow is probably one of Carlson's top 3 properties if not the best but I would not want to deal with the Moscow winter )

By far Radisson Blu BUCHAREST.

In the middle of a fantastic city, wonderful rooms, great gym, near a casino and a disco.
All your need is there for new year party
