This statement in the Wiki appears to be incorrect, as I have just been offered a CC credit card, and it's a card that waives the fee in the first year!
"Are there other ways to earn points (besides hotel stays)?
You can earn points for car rentals with Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, National, and Sixt. CC also offers points for meeting planners. See this page for details. Airline miles can not be converted to CC points, CC does not offer an opportunity to earn points for online shopping, and there is no credit card."

Dear all,
I had an awful stay at the Radisson Delhi Connaught Place and want to make use of the 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee. I already contacted Radisson by e-mail three times. But as soon as I mention my intention to make use of the guarantee I don't get any feedback anymore. Does somebody have the contact details of a Radisson employee that cares?

Have you tried reaching out to them on Facebook? They seem to be pretty quick on comments posted there.

It is possible that you may get an upgrade if you wave your gold card around, but you would not get goldpoints.
As it happens I was looking earlier at Mercer Street in March. Rate for one night is Ł303 both on the club carlson website and on Hotels.com and late rooms was Ł303.50. So no difference - however if you factor in goldpoints (stay would get around 14000) - and I value them at 0.5 pence each - that would be worth Ł70 for the stay.
There is another factor - I have had the impression that people booking direct with hotels get rather better rooms than those booking via an agent. This was reinforced in a conversation by a friend of my daughter who is a trainee with a major hotel chain. The problem is that some of online booking companies drive a pretty hard bargain with the hotels on pricing.
So I can see no particular advantage in using an agent, as opposed to booking direct, and particularly so if you have status with that chain.

Breakfast, depends how good of a negotiator you are, I have gotten wide array of breakfast benefits, even though official policy is NADA!
If it saves money, I go through third party or get a BRG.

I think it depends on the property, but even with a third party website booking you may get the upgrade. Worth trying, anyway.

In my experience, yes, but it depends what benefits. I am gold. Obviously no booking 2k bonus. Upgrades, yes. Points, yes. Points on bonus or promotions yes. stay credit yes. gold bonus, yes.
