Question Piarco Airport: GEO-POS-JFK

I have a question regarding transiting at POS. The first leg is 05:35-06:45 from GEO to POS, and the second leg is 08:40-13:59 from POS to JFK. Both flights are with BW. Is it possible to check the baggage through? When at POS, do I have to pass through the customs and collect my baggage? If so, is 2-hour layover enough? Thanks.

There is a transit desk in the arrival area at POS before Customs. they SHOULD take you to an Intransit lounge and your bags SHOULD be tagged to JFK. HOWEVER systems and protocols change frequently.

The airport is small enough to get to your onward flight in the time you have detailed.

Your best route is to contact BW at

and confirm the process.

In the VIP lounge now

i asked the question one month back and here is what happened:
GEO issued both legs (GEO-POS & POS-JFK)
GEO checked the baggage through to JFK
i arrived in POS on time and followed the passengers to a Transit Desk
the staff checked my tickets (no passport required)
i was led to a security check for transit (separate from arrival)
i passed through the security check and took an elevator to the boarding gates

the entire process took no longer than 15 minutes. There are VIP lounges for Priority Pass in both GEO and POS.

hope this information is helpful to others who might have the same question as I did.

Glad to be able to help; I've had so much help from Flyertalk in the past.
