Question Bahamas Honeymoon Advice

have you been island hopping in the Bahamas? We will be flying to Nassau on June 26th for our HONEYMOON and returning on July 5th. Would you recommend staying in Nassau and going on day trips to the other islands? Or should we split our 9 nights among the different islands there? Also, what hotels, attractions and activities would you recommend? Thank you in advance for your valuable advice!

I would recommend staying in Nassau and taking day trips. Or else a few days on Nassau, then the balance on a quiet out island beach somewhere. It's not especially easy to hop around the Bahamas.

In Nassau, your options are either Cable Beach or Paradise Island. Research both to find what best suits your tastes. While we like Cable Beach - Sheraton - because of its family friendly faciliteis, you might also enjoy Atlantis on Paradise Island. It also caters to families, but is much larger and busier than we like. Although we always go for a visit when we are staying elsewhere. There are casinos at both places too, which tends to be the evening entertainment. Lots of nice restaurants - again, you just need to do some research, check out travel sites, etc... Try 'Fish Fry' if you like local food.

Enjoy.

Cheers,

Thumbs up Thanks!

Thanks! I ended up getting 5 nights at the Atlantis and 4 at the Sheraton. Our Atlantis reservation includes the Atlantis Experience Pass as well as the Taste of Atlantis Promotion. We are really looking forward to it! Any other tips guys?

Harbour Island off Eleuthera has a great beach. It might be too late to stay there if you already have your arrangements set, but I believe there is (or was) a fast ferry that could be used for day trips. Would definitely be worth it if you have the chance.
