Suggestions on AUA Mileage Runs (< 24hours)
[In the theme of http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/carib...age-runs.html]]
I have booked an MR to AUA, arriving 3pm and departing 7am the next day this is in late January.
There's plenty on information in the AAdvantage forum about customs/airport, etc.; e.g. I know that I need to clear US immigration before departure back to MIA.
I am looking for a little more information and recommendations:Any information can be of benefit and would be appreciated.

- Hotel recommendations
- Transfers
- Activities (Brief)
- Restaurants
- anything else?

At airport is taxi stand, short ride to town, Renaissance Hotel is in town, closest good hotel to airport. They have a private beach, 50/50 you will have time to go to beach. Within walking distance from hotel is El Gaucho, good steak restaurant, reasonable prices. Short distance away is Pinchos, very scenic good foodMadam Janette is best restaurant on island but a cab trip away. Plenty of bars etc. in town
