This morning's Edmonton Journal has a half-page ad from AC for maintenance jobs at CP's YVR centre. ["Become a members of the Air Canada family..." goes the headline and then features the AC and CP logos.] One of them is for "Aircraft Painters", which leads one to believe there will be a lot of repainting done over the next few months as AC proceeds with the final merging of identities (as noted in RM's memo to staff posted on the AC forum).
Talk about hiring, apparantly AC said that they have finish hiring airport agents and they are in training and should be starting next month. However, they still have it on their website that "Employment Opportunities" is available for Airport agents?? That is very misleading and people that send their application in for that position will be waiting and waiting and waiting....
On the CP site, there is an updated Job Opportunities posting. At the bottom, there is a note that reads something like "if there is no job posted that suits you, send in your resume anyway to our Richmond, BC address."
