Express Check-in Kiosk Bonus

Unbelievable!

I was just informed by my contact at CPlus Operations that the AC Express Check-in kiosks in YUL, YOW and YVR will now offer 250 Aeroplan miles or CPlus points (depending on your booking profile) from July 1 - August 31. Yes, July 1st!! It's almost the end of the July so it's really only a month long promo. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

The July/August CPlus newsletter with the new bonus announcement (along with the June statements) was delayed due to the announcement three weeks ago about the plans merging at year end.

Any thoughts as to why the YYZ promo is 500 and the others are 250? Is T2 that crazy busy?

The chaos at YYZ? YYZ started first and AC didn't feel so generous as they started to roll it out nationally?

My theory on the 500 vs 250 bonus difference was that YYZ was so busy with CP and AC coming together in T2 that AC management wanted to encourage Express Check-in for rapidair passengers as well as other FFs to avoid our complaints over long waits in the check-in lines. I am not sure if I am on target with my theory though.
