Can anyone confirm this:
For Canadian AAdvantage members, AA now gives miles on CX flights in any class (F, A, J, D, I, Y, B, H, K, M, L, W). (www.cathay.ca) Good news. Does anyone know if this is 100% miles for all economy fares as it was when we could accrue CP points on CX flights? Or is it just 50%? That's still better than 0.
If it's 100% miles, then I think I can make the AAdvantage gold challenge (8k miles in 3 months?). Can anyone give any details about it? I read the thread about gold/platinum challenges in the AA forum and am wondering whether it is worth the effort to "invest" some mile accrual into AA for gold status in AA and some limited status in
oneworld.
