Are others finding the same thing as I am about these bonuses for new CP and AC routes or flights?
I thought from reading the small print in the newsletters that these bonuses are in effect on a one-time basis and only for "initial" round trips taken on these selected routes, and on specific non-stop flights.
However, I found that my direct (i.e. one stop) flight between YUL and YEG last weekend was eligible for the bonus on this route. I did not do a round trip, since my original routing to YHZ was connecting at YYZ, the return connected at YUL. Nor was this on CP's new non-stop service which operates early morning in each direction. The flight I took was a new CP service, replacing what was AC's YUL-YOW-YEG flights, so maybe that's why I got the bonus.
Not complaining mind you. Just raise it so those concerned about missing the SYD-HNL bonus when travelling on through flights should not be too worried, and they should get the mileage bonus for that sector of the flights.
