June and September are generally nice months in NB & PEI (although seasonal businesses in PEI tend to only open in July and August). May and October can be nice but are a bit more iffy. Outside of that, stay away.

Grand Manan and the coast
It's late fall and anything is possible but Grand Manan could be the best thing there is. There is a brochure with suggestions. You should be aware of a phrase "The Irving" as in "the bus tickets are sold at The Irving."
