CBSA Preclearance FSP

Would it be ideal for CBSA to set up a preclearance post at St Pierre. It is a French territory off the coast of Newfoundland. All its flights are to Canada or Miquelon, its sister island; there are now direct flights to Mainland Europe...

Why? It is likely more expense than it is worth. How many people fly from FSP daily? Considering there is only one airline, and it only flies one plane (an ATR 42) to Canada from FSP, there can't be more than a couple hundred people per day leaving from FSP. That hardly seems worth it. They can use the existing facilities at the airports served from FSP. If Canada ever starts preclearance, airports like LGA or BOS are far more likely candidates.

No preclearance agreeement is in place between Canada and France. And something tells me it's not a priority in either of those two governments anytime soon...
