Any recommended summer resorts in the Montreal area?
So Mrs. vandalby and I will be heading to Montreal for a 4 night trip. We're going to be spending 2 nights in Montreal in early August (taking a hot air balloon trip at the festival in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu). We wanted to spent our other 2 nights in a nice summer resort, something with a good spa and pool. Since we're driving up from Connecticut, don't want to travel too much more than 90 minutes outside of Montreal. Have been looking at the Fairmont Montebello and the Westin in Tremblant. Any other suggestions?

Westin
The Westin in Mt. Tremblant has a fantastic outdoor heated pool. SPG upgrade should get you a nice suite! ^^ We took the gondola (complimentary?) to the top of the ski hill for nice views, hikes.
While I like the Fairmont Montobello, the rooms are old/dodgy and they have a resort fee.

any nice B&B or "resorts" along the St Lawrence River valley, say towards Quebec City?

The St. Lawrence valley is very broad and uninteresting up to Quebec. It becomes more interesting there and beyond. For example, Tadoussac is a well-known resort area at the Saguenay.
