YZD Flights

I work at Highway 7 and Keele St. and see about two to four times a day planes either a Bombardier Global Express (twin-jet) (GLEX) or de Havilland Dash 8-400 (twin-turboprop) (DH8D) landing or taking off from Downsview airport. These planes only have the Bombardier livery on them.

Looking at flight aware, some of these flights have interesting routes they take (http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BBA12). So what I'm wondering is what is the purpose for these flights? Are they just testing out new aircraft? And what about the flights to Montreal?

Mainly test flights, but occasional company shuttle flights.
