Ski Weekend: Mont Sainte Anne / Le Massif (de Charlevoix)
 

Hi -

Trying to plan a long weekend up to QC from Maine with the family for some skiing (wife, 2 boys 8/6). Drive up on a Friday to like the SPG Four Points just north of the city, then ski Mont Sainte Anne on Saturday, stay at something like the Chateau Mont Sainte Anne then drive up to Le Massif on Sunday, back to Chateau for Sunday night, then on the way back on Monday - walk around QC a little before heading home.

Questions:
1) Should I avoid either of these ski resorts on a Sat/Sun or pick just 1 for both days or any others I am missing that might be more to our skill level ? My boys are young so we just cruise on the green/beginner trails with maybe a blue or two mixed in. All on-piste of course.

2) I was looking at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, but it just seems so far north and would like to keep the drive up/back to the 5-6 hours rather than the 7+ hour variety with the kids. Any other hotels I might consider ? Only requirement is two beds (preferably queens) and a pool (indoor or outdoor heated).

3) Anybody have any further information on the Hotel Le Ferme that is suppose to open up this year at Le Massif ? I would expect rates to be somewhat high during ski season (just curious more than anything else).

Any other information people would like to add is of course appreciated.
