SanDiego1K is spot on- I love the Mission - and also enjoy the Cedar Creek Inn directly across the street for a meal - lunch or dinner.

I am making few day trips this month and can't decide if I should uber or rent a car? I'd probably be doing -> Airport to Mission Beach -> BalboaPark -> Airport.

Seeing rentals around $20 for the day. Not sure if parking will be a complete pain (and costly). Any suggestions?

FWIW, I've never had much trouble finding parking around Balboa Park.
