Free shuttles from San Diego airport to downtown?

Rental cars AT the airport are pricing at $82+ (one way rental). Found if you pick up rental at off airport site, it is less than $40. Obviously we can take a taxi to the car rental office if needed. Just checking if there are any free shuttles that might get us close? Rental pick up is 1670 Kettner Blvd. Thanks ^

As far as I know...and I did some Googleing too...there is no free shuttle to down town. A taxi or uber will be really cheap, and your most efficient choice.

Cheapest is to take the 992 bus from airport to the corner of Harbor Drive and Grape. From there, it is a 0.4 mile walk to the destination.

Probably only feasible with very light luggage. Fare is $2.25.

You might sneak onto one of the hotel shuttles - several downtown hotels.

The OP's destination is in Little Italy, not downtown.

It was roughly two miles and the Uber cost $9.
