Fly SAN-BUR or drive?

Saw a new ad for an airline called Seaport Airlines from SAN-BUR.

Have a biz meeting in nearby Woodland Hills and can fly 2 of us there for $350 and leave at 10 am and be back by 4 pm no problem. We work a mile from SAN.

The drive says its 2 hr 30 mins but we know that could be 3.5-4 hours easy?

Has anyone flown this airline or route? Is it worth it? The prospect of 6-7 hrs RT driving and lost productivity kills me.

6am train gets into Burbank at 9:27am. That's 3 1/2 hours.

Anyway, the airline schedule sure knocks it out of the park. I know nothing about the airline unfortunately.

Thanks for this.

I think we're going to try the flights UBER to their office. I can shave 4 hours off of total travel time.

You call Woodland Hills "nearby" to BUR, but in the worst possible case, it could take an hour, bear that in mind.

absolutely, i land at burbank at 11 am on a tuesday so working from 12-2 and hoping to avoid traffic...IMHO still beats a 4+ hr jaunt from SAN

Yes, at that time of day, barring an accident, odds are pretty good. A rental car may well be cheaper than round trip via Uber, although price might not be a factor for you. You can still walk between the terminal and the rental car facility at BUR.

Please do share your experience. I drive that route too frequently, and am tempted by this flight.

Trip report

Love this service! Our SAN flight was delayed 20 mins to a plane swap - yeah it's annoying but I understand things happen. My colleague and I were the only pax on SAN-BUR and it was like a private tour! Pilots super friendly - easy to board and get in and out of the commuter terminal in SAN. Flight time about 58 minutes and WOW - flying at 5-6K feet along the coast was amazing.

Landed in BUR and Uber to woodland hills. 2 hr meeting, uber back to BUR and back in SAN by 415.

So total travel time - left office at 9:30 am, landed in SAN by 415. Shaved 3-4 hours easy. Total cost= $175

Will be doing this again

Is the time to get to airports, parking time, reporting early due to security etc, has been factored in ?

Sounds like they might have gotten dropped off at san. Getting through or around LA on a weekday is no picnic. It's a 3.5-4 hr drive one way under typical conditions, and can be much worse.
