Finding Cheap Tickets?

Hey,
So I plan to go from LA>>Australia(Brisbane) in December/January but all the tickets are insanely expensive... 1,500-2000.

I plan to go on Christmas day as it's like 1,200 which seems GONE now. I have free stay so rest is ok, it's just the airline tickets bugging me.

Any tips/advice on how to get cheaper airline tickets to AU?

Thanks a ton

Finding Cheap Tickets?

Seems about what I would expect to pay.

There's no tricks to finding cheap tickets. Just putting the time in to look around if you are paying for the tickets with cash. The amazing information on this board is about maximizing travel experiences and using frequent flyer programs to your advantage. But if you are asking about traveling to Australia this holiday season and haven't already started working on it, all I can say is best of luck.

If you plan to travel in the future, would highly recommend reading around this board for te information that might help you in the future, but it all takes advance planning.

Finding Cheap Tickets?

You might look at other Asian destinations - like SIN, BKK, MNL, SGN etc. Sometimes there are cheap flights from LAX to that part of Asia. From there, Tiger, Scoot and a few other LCC's fly to Australia. You might be able to piece together a cheaper itinerary. But I would agree that $1,200 is not bad for a R/T at Christmas.

You might try bidding via Priceline. The air deals are not very frequent, but occasionally somebody scores.

At least try up to within maybe a couple hundred bucks of the best deal you can find via direct purchase.

Or whatever savings is worth it to you to give up selecting airline and schedule?

You could also try using skiplagged.com to book two one-ways and try different airports. However, this is the most expensive time to fly and this isn't a cheap route. Best of luck finding something.

Cheap tickets to South America from Europe

Hello guys,

I and my colleague we would like to go for road trip:

Travel time: for one month, approx. from 5th of December till 5th of January
Destinations: Europe - Havana - ? - Bogota - Europe

Actually we want to visit Havana (1 week) Bogota (2 weeks) and one more place for one week. The third place it doesnt matter where we go (maybe it should be helpful for fuel dumping)

Can you help us with finding tickets please?

Thank you very much.

No, we can't. That's what travel agencies are for.

And you've posted this same request in three different places on FlyerTalk. Cross-posting is prohibited here.
