Watch out for the taxes

My last $139 r/t IAH-MEX turned out to be a little over $200

But it's been over a decade since visiting Mexico City, and upgrade cleared on both legs, so it was a very nice trip

Hi marubill,
I have moved your post from Mileage Run Deals to Budget Travel, as you have posted to the incorrect forum.
Mileage Run Deals is not for *cheap fares*, but for very cheap (per mile) status qualification miles fares or fares which are extremely cheap and provide a lot of status miles and normal miles.

Please read the sticky atop the Mileage Run Deals forum to learn what goes where.
Sticky: Welcome to the Mileage Run Forum - Important information how the MR forums work

I'm curious about your connection to Volaris. Do you happen to be a customer or have some connection? I've not heard of the, are they a statup LCC airline or an offshoot of an existing operator (or wholesaler/packager/leisure LCC startup)?
(If you are connected with the airline, it would be appropriate for you to note your connection in your posts. Thanks )

Thanks for your assistance with keeping Volaris specials in the Budget Travel forum, where LCC specials belong.

By all means, if you find a great deal with status qualifying miles costing 3c or less on an airline in an alliance, please post it in Mileage Run Deals.

Cheers,
BiziBB

Volaris is the Mexican LCC that WN plans to hook up with.

BiziBB, Thank you for changing it to the Budget Travel.
I have NO connection with Volaris, I'm a costumer leaving near LAX and I travel frequently to MEX.

As posted by Mrp Alert Volaris is a LCC in Mexico and it is starting new international routes and by beginning of next year plans to codeshare with WN.

Also emailkid is right sometimes the taxes are more than the ticket.

But the key with this Airline is to buy ticket ahead of time.
