Getting miles in non-driving spouse's account

I may need to do some gratuitous car rentals to get hits for the US Grand Slam. My husband doesn't have a driver's license. Can I book in my name and put his US DM account number in and get the miles? We have the same last name.

You can try; it's possible the airlines' automated systems that verify that the name matches ignores the first name, since it would be too complicated to program the system to be aware of things like nicknames, middle initials, or other possible permutations.

However, given the surcharges charged for earning miles on rental cars, I'd certainly check first with a single test rental before going whole-hog and booking a bunch of cars...
