Diners Club to BA miles - 2009 bonus??

Does anyone know if/when Diners Club will offer its annual 50% Diners Club - BA miles promotion this year? It was a 100% bonus a few years back, but now seems to be only 50%.

Is this the regular DC card or the BA DC card?

Assuming it's the latter as you asked here, I've held one for the last two years and don't remember any such promotion; is it targetted?

Ok a bit OT but I must rant:

I have had DC for many years, a combined SAS Eurobonus. I called them and said I wanted to collect BA miles, No that isn't possible So I'm to terminate my DC and go with a BA/Visa combo instead.

I would assume that it is a regular U.S. Diners Club, not British. This has been a regular promotion that they have had for several years running. My recollection is that it is in August, but that is hazy memory.

Editing to add: see this thread in Diners Club Forum which gives more about the history, but no news about any current/upcoming promotion.

Last year, these were the dates for the summer bonus:

between 1 June 2008 and 30 September 2008

So, I'm hoping we'll hear about a similar bonus for 2009 soon.

One would hope, but not bank on it, since they do seem to be killing the card. You can't even apply for it any longer! And most of the other benefits are gone.

Of course it used to be an annual double miles for BA transfers...
