Props to BA LAX-LHR-LAX

I just wanted to say that I am so impressed with BA. I have flown the LAX-LHR-LAX leg four times in CW in the past 6 months and every time the crew has been phenomenal but yesterday's flight from LHR was the best yet. The crew I had on the upper deck was the nicest and most attentive crew I have experienced and that was more incredible considering the flight was totally full (not one spare seat on the airplane and a few op ups from Y to J according to the crew).

I checked on seatcounter.com earlier in the day and I thought that if I had a chance to ever fly (upgraded) in F this would be it but alas no cigar (hopefully one day an op up to F will happen from CW when my status is building up). But hey can't complain in CW. Interestingly enough though one passenger who was travelling in F gave away his F seat to a CW passenger becuase the F passenger's wife was in CW and he wanted to sit next to her. The grin on the passenger who just scored an early Christmas present was priceless the lucky bugger!

I have sat in the upper deck everytime and i must say in my opinion 64K and 64A are the best seats in CW - IMO.

Welcome usrabbs

I'm so glad to hear of your positive experience on board BA flights - long may it continue and I hope one day you get to enjoy the F experience.

64A is my favorite seat of them all upstairs. I finally got 62A this morning (thus completing my sampling of the various 6x left side seats) and I vastly prefer 64A. Feels far more private.

Cheers,

-Andrew

I don't fly CW with much regularity (probably a couple of long haul round trips a year), but have always had consistently good/lovely cabin crews

We spent our miles last August-Sept. I was lucky enough to get 64 A coming home-LHR-LAX. Flights like that help make up for all those long hauls through the years, in the back of the bus. Didn't sleep going over or coming home, I just watched 4 movies each way on that wonderful new touch screen TV. Also looked out the window-it annoys me when s/o pulls the shade down for the entire trip. Both flights were quite clouded over, unfortunately.

I prefer 62A over 64, because the temperature is unbearable at the back of the U/D. It's a little colder by the Exit. I don't like 62K that much because I don't like staring the flight attendants in the eyes during take off and landing.

That depends on the flight attendant! I quite like 62K and have bagged it for my next LHR-BOM in January.

The LHR-LAX service is my favourite route on the BA network. Brilliant that it is direct and so frequent plus the perfect length to have a nice meal in First or Club and time to sleep before arrival.

I love Los Angeles!

Welcome to FT, it is a very interesting and I think humurous chat programme. So glad you enjoyed your flight. Do like 64 AB or JK, very cosy. The UD is the best place the put yourself. So glad you had a fab crew, must say they make all the difference to a flight, hope the bubbles kept coming. Look forward to hearing more of your adventures.
