Question Indulge me please: A320 CE Bulkhead A/C...bad seat or good seat?

Online check-in just opened up.... there are still a few rows ( 6 and 7) A/C side seats open.... I grabbed row 1 A/C... mistake?

Thanks.

No - you have the best seats!

The service (should!) starts at row 1 and there is no one reclining their seat into your face. The only draw back could be the lack of under seat space, but I find the leg room fine (at 6' tall), especially as you can stretch out a little in front of the seat by the closet.

Enjoy!

No. The best seats.

Sometimes it pays to be obsessive about seat choice.

Agree best seats. Only potential problem is that the cabin crew go against the rules and start the service from the back - they shouldn't - but some do.

The A seat is a little restricted in leg room but the C seat allows you to stretch your legs into the gangway. If in the C seat be alert for rampaging trolleys and be prepared to smartly retract your legs!

D and F are similar with the risk that on early morning and late afternoon flights the E seat may get allocated. On LGW flights you can bet your bottom dollar the E seat will be sold to an ET upgrader who will be most dischuffed to be in the middle!

Best seats in the House - you are also furthest away from "that" curtain"!

And you get to overhear the crew gossip.

And the evilness that exists beyond it.

I'll just have to be the one to disagree.

I don't like 1AC on a A320, I feel I can't streatch out my legs, in the way I can in Row 2.

Also, row 1 has the fold out tray tables in the armrest and I found they're often not quite horizontal, but sometimes slope this way or that.

The downside of rows 2+ is that you may get somebody reclining their seat in to you.

In CE, I usually do 2C on a A319/320/321 and 2D on a B767SH.

I always take 1C if available. Another advantage is first off the plane and hopefully no-one in front at Iris.

Mistake. You can't stretch your legs out in 1A at all. 1C is better, but still a bit cramped.

Only if you have lanky legs.

For us normal people, 1AC have perfectly adequate legroom.

Why? They are nearer the drinks trolley.

Try the bulkhead rows on a s/h 767 - the tray tables always slope downwards. There is one plane with tray tables at an angle of about 30 degrees, and you can only eat if you hold the back of the mealtray to stop it ending up on your feet.

Lanky Legs

For me 2A as I'm in the lanky brigade, and like to spend the flight looking at the view. 1A is too cramped and 1C doesn't provide a view.
