Either they are arogant or not fully aware of this thread!
In any case, not up to the task.
LOL me too. They look like right arrogant tits now. Things are going from bad to embarrassing.
The Adrian is Our Adrian, and he's a very nice chap too. I really feel for him, this must have been one of the worst days in BA's modern life. I'm still in the Galleries F (with a lot of other FTers) and from the screens, it doesn't look good.
Let's hope that they can sort things out as soon as possible. This is a magnificent building, is a step-change for British air passengers...if only it worked.
Seriously, in a week's time London will have a airport that we can all be proud of. You should see the views over the apron as the sun goes down...the light dancing over the Union Flags on the tails...it's marvellous.
Have to say I was at T4 dropping off this morning (ghost town landside) and took the bus over to T5 to have a look. Impressed on the surface, sceptical below, unsurprisingly. But up to midday it was calm, cool and collected and everything seemed fluid and efficient. Sigh.

In Japan there is a train known as The Bullet Train.
A train departs every 15 minutes for a 400km journery.
In 2007 there was outrage because of the delays. The cumulative delay was 2 minutes.
Whenever there are serious operational problems like this, BA always ask for volunteers.
I can't believe so many volunteer because they get no thanks from the management . BA management will never admit to making any mistakes and will seek only to make life harder for the staff.
They are never prepared to actually pay anybody for their assistance , i think the staff should tell them to get stuffed quite frankly , Walsh and his cronies in the so called leadership team has cut the operation to the bone and now you are seeing the results of this misguided policy.( There's still loads of managers though !)
I think WW seriously needs to consider his future.
We are experiencing significant disruption to flights departing from Heathrow Terminal 5 due to problems associated with processing customers’ hold baggage.
As a result, customers due to travel on flights departing Terminal 5 this evening will be able to travel with hand baggage only. More information
Flights from other Heathrow terminals are operating normally and customers flying from other terminals should check in as usual.
We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience this has caused our customers. It is extremely disappointing that this should happen on the first day of our operations from Terminal 5.
The move to Terminal 5 is one of the biggest and most complex airport moves ever undertaken. We are working hard, together with airport operator, BAA to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Customers affected by the disruption can rebook to fly on a different date or obtain a refund.
Some customers may be able to make changes to their booking on ba.com. Alternatively, they can call the airline in the UK on 0800 727800.
Customers who are at the airport and who are unable to travel can rebook at the airport ticket desk or by speaking to one of our volunteers in the terminal who will be able to assist them.
Customers are advised to check the status of their flight before they leave for the airport.

Gareth Kirkwood giving a live statement on Sky News. He looks awfully calm for a man under investigation by the US authorities for price fixing. Sadly in true management style he's read his statement then walked away refusing to answer any questions.
BahrainLad - give my love to Adrian, tell him I'm thinking of him.
Just been watching Sky News and a reporter laid into WW big time, saying how for years BA he's been getting rid of experienced and conscientious staff in order to save money. He added that staff who were working at the terminal were being abused by passengers and this was not fair - the problems were caused by WW and he as the one passengers should be ranting at him as he was the cause of all problems.
I'm looking forward to my day there tomorrow - not
Edit: Hometown38 - how true your comments are. I volunteered to go there (on my days off) along with a number of my colleagues. However, if we turn round now and say we're not going we will be penalised. You'll see my comments above re. WW
