Thanks so much, speedbird2027. I'm surprised I haven't seen this information posted anywhere else--BA's T5 information is all about what happens when you get to T5 by plane, how to connect within T5, how to get to T5 by road/rail, but nothing about connecting from another terminal!

Yes, I had the same thought, but I figured I would wait for someone else to say it!

What's this if not about connecting at LHR? Just search on "connecting".

I got the precise answer I needed very easily and quickly from speedbird2027. Was your post really necessary, especially when the link you put up doesn't address my question in the least?

Sorry it was too much trouble for you to actually follow the link which takes you to the official BA answer!
Flight connections in London
When you transfer from one flight to another in London, you need to make sure you get to your next flight on time.
Find out about flight connections at London Heathrow airport>>
Connecting at London HeathrowLondon Heathrow is a large airport so you will need to allow enough time to get to your flight, particularly if you are transferring between terminals.
Select your arrival terminal below and find out your departure options:: (requires Adobe Flash Player) Get Adobe Flash Player.
Heathrow Terminal 1 (pdf, 90kb)
Heathrow Terminal 4 (pdf, 90kb)
Heathrow Terminal 5 (pdf, 96kb)
What you need to know
1. Which terminal is my flight departing from?
Please refer to your Transfer Wallet or High Life Magazine. Alternatively, follow the signs for Flight Connections and check the flight information screens to see which terminal your onward flight departs from.
2. What happens if my flight departs from another terminal at London Heathrow?
If your onward flight departs from another terminal please follow the signs for that terminal i.e. Terminals 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. You should then take the escalator down to coaches, which depart every few minutes to the other terminals.
3. Do I need to pick up my bags or check in again?
You do not have to pick up your bags if they have been labelled through to your onward flight destination and you have been given a boarding pass for your next flight. Simply follow the Flight Connections signs and make your way to the relevant terminal. However, if your baggage receipt shows the destination ‘LHR’, ‘LGW’ or ‘LON’ then you must collect your baggage at Arrivals/Baggage Reclaim before checking in for your next flight.
4. What happens if I am transferring to a British Airways UK domestic flight from Terminal 5?
You must pass through Flight Connections and Security and be ready to fly at least 35 minutes before your next flight departs. A digital photograph of all customers on UK domestic flights from London Heathrow Terminal 5 will be taken at airport security. When boarding the flight, the photograph will be checked. Once checks are complete, all photographs will be deleted.
5. When will I know which gate my flight departs from?
Your gate number will be displayed from 90 minutes before departure on the information screens once you are in the main Departure areas.
6. When should I be at the gate?
You should be at your boarding gate at least 20 minutes before your onward flight’s scheduled departure time. Failure to arrive at the gate in sufficient time could mean that you are not accepted for travel.
7. What should I do if I do not have a boarding pass?
If you do not have a boarding pass for your connecting British Airways flight you will have to check in at London. Simply follow the Flight Connection signs and make your way to a Customer Service Desk where a member of British Airways staff will be able to assist you. If your flight is with another carrier please make your way to the correct terminal for your onward flight and see an airline representative.
8. Do I have to clear Security?
If you are arriving into Heathrow on an international flight, you will need to clear Flight Connections and Security and be ready to fly 35 minutes before your onward flight departure time.
9. Who is eligible to use Fast Track security?
If you are travelling in First, Club World or Club Europe you can use the dedicated Fast Track Security channel.
10. What British Airways Lounges are available to me?
Eligible customers can use the Terraces Lounges in Terminals 1 and 4 and Galleries Lounges in Terminal 5.
11. Can I leave the airport?
We strongly recommend that passengers wishing to visit London between flights should allow a minimum of six hours connection time. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have all the appropriate documents required to land in the UK. If you decide to leave the airport, you must return to the airport and pass through Security and be ready to fly at least 35 minutes before your flight departs, to ensure that you are accepted for travel.
12. Where do I go if I need assistance?
If you require further assistance, your flight arrives late or you miss your onward flight connection, please see a member of the British Airways Customer Service team.

I did follow the link. Did you take the trouble to read my questions, read the material in the link you quoted, and then realize that all of that verbiage STILL did not answer two out of my three questions (which speedbird2027 did do, in six concise sentences, without snarkiness)?
Confidence is growing. This from today's Guardian:
British Airways has launched its first advertising campaign to promote the troubled terminal at Heathrow, using the tag line "Terminal 5 is working" and live information such as baggage arrival times.
The campaign, which starts tomorrow, was created by ad agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty and aims to "dispel any negative perceptions" of the £4.3bn terminal.
BA aims to prove that the terminal is working like clockwork by collating daily information on baggage arrival times, flight punctuality and the time it takes incoming passengers to reach arrivals.
BBH will then use the statistics in national and London press, radio and digital advertising the day after they are gathered. The campaign will run for 28 days, and will also use pictures of travellers taken on their way through the terminal, with their consent.
Research company GfK will gather information about travellers between 6am and 2pm every day.
Abigail Comber, head of BA's marketing communications, said that the only issue that could derail the campaign was something "like a power cut" outside of BA's control. In such a case, they would use data collated across a week.
An outdoor campaign, which will not use regularly updated information, will have the tagline, "Terminal 5 is working".
Does anyone know if the first 2 hours parking is still free, in the s/t car park?
We paid £2.30 for about 4 minutes of parking today but I'm not sure if there might be a separate area that might be free.
Other than that loved the T5 arrivals experience today. Landed 5 minutes early, was at stand within 5 minutes, at the caroussel in another 10 minutes (we were at one of the far far away corner jetties of T5B), luggage already coming out. All in all 20 minutes from landing to Costa coffee. Really great experience. Long may it last
BA has now also jointly agreed with BAA to move some further longhaul flights out of Terminal 4 and into T5 on Wednesday, September 17.
This will see flights to and from Accra, Dar Es Salaam, Lusaka, Entebbe, Luanda, Mauritius, Nairobi, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Bahrain, Doha, Kuwait, Tel-Aviv, Mumbai, Nassau, Grand Cayman, Providenciales, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Baltimore, Washington, Dallas, Newark, Houston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto and Mexico City move into T5.
BA and BAA believe that Terminal 5 is working well, but have decided in the interests of customers to make the next move after the traditionally busy summer period. They will carry on working closely with BAA over the summer, monitoring performance and ensuring that any issues continue to be addressed.
The final move of longhaul flights out of Terminal 4 and into Terminal 5 will take place at the end of October.
Any word if this date might be moved forward? I am flying to and from Chicago and was hoping to come into the new terminal 5

Departure screens
I made my second visit last week to Terminal 5 (previous one was in April) as all of my recent trips in the last few months have been from Terminal 4.
Whilst I very much enjoyed the GF, I was disappointed that there are not that many screens showing departures and with no announcements (I do understand the reason and it does make for a quieter lounge), I had to keep getting up to check the screen as it was a long way from where I was sitting.
I really think they should put up some more screens - and perhaps change some of those over the newspaper stand - to show departures. Not many people are going to watch TV when there is no sound.
