It is ironic that no FTer has actually flown on the aircraft yet - especially some of you missing it by a day either way!
Ironic or irritiating! When AA flew their first 767 with NBC it took a fair while for someone to file a report, iirc a few weeks and they had someone updating them on the next few days movements.
However given G-BOAC's favourable flight back on VS he may overlook this post!
I can never overlook apostrophes! I can merely delay the reaction and hope to give others a chance to spread that pedantic love...and so I can't believe that despite forcing myself to refrain last night, still nobody has pointed out "its impossible" in the OP yet
Oh go on, whilst I'm here, "looses" needs looking at too

Interesting that the aircraft has flown to LAX more than JFK so far with the new product.
Considering there are only two flights a day at the moment to LAX, the odds of getting it over a week are greatly increased over the 9 or so daily to JFK.
When are the other aircraft coming online?
Maybe one will end up at T3 for Miami?

Yes, I was on this flight, BUT (screeeeeeeeeam) in WTP, though with a very good view through the curtain from 29K (normally quite a decent seat). I didn't realize that there is only one aircraft with the new seats until I read this thread.
I can't tell you how comfy it is, how practical the features are etc.
But it looked great--the white shells didn't look cheap (as you might expect from looking at the videos on newclubworld.com) and appeared to be a bit lower than I expected them to be. It really did look great: the speedbird logo and the round lampshades add some elegance and the whole cabin looks makes a much more friendly impression than the current CW. From what I saw, I think the evolution rather than revolution approach works quite well. Well done, BA!
Can you believe that, I MFUd my return on 13 Dec straight after booking instead of waiting for a few days to see if the return would open up as well (grrrrrr )--well, at least I got the new AVOD (flawless) and will get a flat bed on the overnight return in 62K. Guess, I am still lucky

Ah, AVOD in all classes now? I hadn't twigged that change. Excellent. How was the quality? Those old tapes/screens were pretty crap.

Well, they did not exchange the screens, which means that the screens are still small and quite murky in terms of contrast. I think they always had touchscreens , though with the new system you really got to use them to navigate through what's available. It seems that they basically put in a server that streams the data and reads the controls from the handset and touchscreen. Compared to the LH C-class and TG AVOD systems, which sometimes seemed to behave slightly different from what I have expected, the BA AVOD was easy and straightforward to use without the need for any "how to?" guide. Despite this they had an extra AVOD support lady on board to help people with a system but I did not see her actually helping anyone--maybe there were only techies in WTP that day and she helped technophobic F and J pax the whole time?
Not sure if they still have the tapes in F, but since the F screens also had input from the main system (like the flight map), I'd guess that you probably have access to both the tape (if they still bother to have the tape library) and AVOD.
BUFman, how full was CW? Did you consider doing an onboard upgrade?
And interesting when you think about the fact that the screens could all of the sudden become touch screens. I mean I wonder if they originally were planning on it when they installed those screens years ago.
