The premise of this is that we're quite an insular board at times, so when I went off to the Boo Doo Too (in Barcelona) last year, quite a few people were asking me about where I had heard about it... so while I'm going to be duplicating the CommunityBuzz board a little, it will also help keep track of who is doing what where, so long as there is a demand for me summarising this stuff. If not, I'll let it drop. I'll concentrate primarily on UK and European dos, and also ones organised elsewhere by the BA board. I'll try and remember to include the big annual events, (Oz, Sin, PSP) but I may not be great at including those. And if any do organisers want to use this to promote their dos to the BA board, drop me a PM, and I'll add in the details. All dos are listed in date order - read up the threads and contact the organisers if you want to attend.
There is now a comprehensive thread in CommunityBuzz, attempting to pull together all dos with more than five participants... The Consolidated Do-List Thread

The annual Oz fest event this year moves to Melbourne, with it's usual organising committee and confusing thread structure, I still can't be bothered to read any further to find out what is planned. Kiwi Mainland Do 9-11 Nov 2007 Kiwi Mainland Do 9-11 November 2007
Few details yet from Kiwi Flyer but a heads up so we can start planning those flights down under...
Well not quite - I haven't even touched on the many US ones, and other random smaller events around the world. But I will try and keep the major European ones (ie weekend events, not just drinks and dinner) and annual events updated, and any of the BA/BD dos will get listed on here.
But thank you for the kind words I wasn't sure if it would be appreciated or not

Just out of interest, what do the President and celebrating have to do with one another?
Is this a BA board rhetorical question?
I'm always so literal. I'll go ahead and answer.
We have a national holiday in the US called Presidents Day. When I was a little girl, we celebrated both Washington's birthday and Lincoln's birthday. They are two notable presidents, one the first US president and one the president who abolished slavery. Their birth dates are about 10 days apart, both in February.
As time went on, we added holidays such as Martin Luther King day to our calendar. Companies didn't want to give new days off as long as all the old days remained on the calendar. So it was decided to chose one day to celebrate both birthdays, and to make it a Monday so that we always get a long weekend off from work.
Presidents' Day: Until the mid-1970s, the February 22 birthday of George Washington, hero of the Revolutionary War and first president of the United States, was a national holiday. In addition, the February 12 birthday of Abraham Lincoln, the president during the Civil War, was a holiday in most states. The two days have been joined, and the holiday has been expanded to embrace all past presidents. It is celebrated on the third Monday in February.
I can't stickify it - only the Mods can do that, and I'm not sure it's that important. I will bump whenever I update though And i've subscribed to it, so I can't lose it either
Definitely don't want it moved, as this was a resource I did for the BA board - so the focus is unashamedly UK-centric given the number of events - dinners, evening drinks, full weekends, away trips organised on Community, it would be practically a full time job trying to keep them all summarised! I do have some concern as well, that it could attract criticism if I cross post a link back into Community... why do I feel the need to do it, when there is a community board, why have I selected out some events and not others to be included etc etc etc... I did have a think about whether to do it at all, but thought it would at least be appreciated on here
