J seats to aim for on 787?

Hi all,

Anyone have any tips on the best J seats for a couple on a BA Dreamliner? Will be flying to LAX so assume it will be the 787-9 with first class.

Obviously want to avoid the middle three, just wondering if there were some "best" seats to aim for?

Cheers,
Jack

If it's a 787- then 6 or 7 ABor JK are great -small 2 row cabin behind F

Quiet though you may be disturbed by F passengers coming back to use J toilet as there is only one in F for all PAX and crew

I would choose 7AB, 13AB or 13JK if you want a window seat option, other wise 7E plus 7D or 7F or 13E plus 13D or 13F.
All of the window pairs are fine if that's what you like.

Interesting. 6A/B or J/K do look like the best on SeatGuru. I'd have the window seat as gf doesn't like flying backwards. Is the window in 7 different to 6?

In 6 you, have to jump over the passenger's legs in row 7

7 definitely the best. For accurate seat maps check:

Note to self, do not look at SeatGuru.

Having just flown back from PVG in a 787-9 in 6A I will agree with this - I really hate the leap over feet you have to do to go to the loo from most BA J window seats!

I also flew CX A350 on this trip and AA on previous trips - it is about time BA sorted their seating plan out! My parents would not be able to sit in a window seat due to a lack of nimbleness!!!

Agreed - I don't think it matters how nimble you are - I don't believe in sleep mode there's anyway to exit without disturbing the aisle passenger. Even if it's not touching them, just the motion. I won't fly any BA Club seat that involves the hop

Are 7AB not undesirable as by the WC? Or am I misreading the seat plan?

There is only 1 WC there - and there are 2 on the other side - I would take 7AB if I had my flight again! The small cabin has light from all different directions but I got about 8 hours sleep on the way over last night - so prob one of the best cabins although I felt a lack of oxygen strangely!

On plenty of longer routes 7K I believe is a crew rest seat so it's best to grab and make do with 7A/B
