4 sectors required for GUF?

I think I know the answer but there is a fair chance I will not make 4 BA sectors (etc) this year.

I presume this does not impact the GUF2 and GUF1 I will earn?

Will I still soft land to Silver?

Can I extend the earning year for 2 weeks to get the sectors?

Grateful for any help in this regard.

No impact, but you must be a gold to earn a GUF.

Yes, no eligible sectors needed for soft landing

Can I extend the earning year for 2 weeks to get the sectors?
No.

Unless you're Lifetime Gold you'll need the 4 sectors to become Gold. So - assuming KARFA is correct that you need to be Gold in order to earn the GUFs - doesn't that mean that without the 4 sectors you can't earn the GUFs? If so the answer is yes, not no.

Isn't the point that the GUFs will be earned in OP's current TP yier, while he's still Gold. However because he won't get the qualifying sectors, he won't requalify for Gold after earning them.

So I suppose the pertinent question is will he lose the GUFs after dropping down to Silver. To which it seems the answer is no...?

Ah yes, you're right. The clue is the comment about the soft landing to silver which must mean the OP is currently gold. Without that nugget of info it wasn't clear to me that the OP was gold at the moment.

Sorry to add a question related to this. Can you use a GUF voucher on an On Business redemption?

Nope. Revenue and reward bookings only - reward bookings are defined as those made using avios.

No, they can't be combined.

TBH, if you manage to get something of benefit from OB these days you're doing well!

Ok, thanks (and to KARFA). On OB, I'm trying to burn my points.

Nuster. Looks like despite accruing so many TPs you havent flown BA very much and are perhaps not a fan of the 8 across in J: although I note that you are probably Oz based so not an easy task.
