You can book up to a year from time of booking, not travel by expiry date. When are you planning to go? You can also extend this by six months very easily

Unfortunately your GUF can't cover that period unless BA extend it again - worth asking but I expect the answer will be no.

The plan of booking and changing won't work.

I've certainly used my GUF to book with a TA and then have moved the flight later within the original fare rules.

Moving dates per se for an existing booking which includes a GUF is not a problem, moving beyond the validity of the GUF is a problem and that shouldn't happen.

Your first flight will have to be within one year of ticket issue date.

To get around this you could book e.g. MAN-LHR-XXX-LHR, fly MAN-LHR within one year and in September 2017 change LHR-XXX-LHR to September 2018.

This is quite a costly way to do it due to change fees even if it were to work - and as noted above I don't think it will since you are trying to shift the GUF booking beyond the allowed validity.

Hey folks,

Sorry to jump on the back of this thread.

Just about to book a GUF2 LHR-SIN/HKG-LHR Y-W, I think I know the answer already but you can't then UUA can you?

Also, are Propeller travel still the only reliable TA?

You can't combine a UuA and GUF on a single booking.

I think Amex travel and flight centre have also been reported to process GUFs.
