World Traveller Plus fares to book into K/Y within UK and to/from JER
With the introduction of Club Europe on domestic routes, the booking codes for Traveller Plus fares containing feeder flights within the UK and to/from JER change with effect from today, for domestic sectors booked for travel on/after 01 April.
For those on the cheapest fares, this will lead to a loss of lounge access and TPs.
Whether existing bookings will be revalidated into the lower fare class is not yet known.
Dual inventory T fares have not yet been modified and continue to book into J. This is likely to change in line with the fare families below.
T- fares will now book into K.
This means TPs for domestic sectors will go from 20 to 10, and lounge access will not be available before these domestic sectors except on the basis of status.
E- fares will book into Y.
W- fares will book into Y.
Despite earlier reports that those booked into Y class would be treated as Club Europe, BA is not describing domestic Y class as "business". Therefore I do not think lounge access or Club Europe seating will apply on any feeder flights under World Traveller Plus fares. But that remains to be proven.

It wouldn't make sense to keep Y as a business class fare in domestics going forward.

The report was that people who had already booked Y (advertised as 'Business UK' on the website) would be moved into the Club Europe cabin, presumably a script will be run converting those fares to the J bucket.

Revalidating tickets into J is quite straightforward.

Change in class for WTP bookings (Domestic leg)
I saw this today for the first time. Previously all my WTP bookings from JER to Asia, the JER leg was booked into Buinsess.
This was quite helpful for Tier points but also changes at LGW if needed.
Now it seems to book into Economy (selling class Y).
Is this a deliberate change ( I assume so!)?

This is already being discussed in the thread started by [B]Calchas[/B , it is a deliberate change and part of the changes resulting from introducing CE on domestic flights.

Surely there would be grounds to contest this on the basis that you were sold a ticket in business class on the JER-LGW-JER sectors and now they have downgraded you. JER is not like the other domestic destinations where there is simply a booking class change but ultimately people are still sitting in economy (as booked). JER bookings were booked into business class so to now be changed to economy is just not right.
