Well now. The mods have received an avalanche of reports about this thread, all of which say :

It would seem, from a Southerner's perspective, that a Scottish member has seen a mouse in the house and feels an urgent need to communicate that with the BAFT community.
17:28 seems a wee bit early to be blootered, but I'm no expert on Scottish drinking habits. Perhaps HIDDY could enlighten us?

Being partly Canadian, I assumed the OP was talking about a moose.
Now I know it's a mouse, I'm out.

I can hardly believe I actually got that reference. Come to think of it, you are talking about the Dutch song
"Ik zag een muis! Waar? Daar op de trap! Waar op de trap? Nou daar!"
right?
And my compliments for those lyrics appearing in your brain somehow. ^

Now that brings back some memories. Can the OP confirm the choice of footwear?
