Routes to/from LGW*/LCY/STN are NOT affected. Only flights to/from LHR* are potentially affected. If you think you may be affected, post 2714 (click here) may be helpful.

As a possible indication, for the fifth strike period BA announced the following cancellations:

Mixed fleet routes are listed here, though note that other (non Mixed Fleet) flights from Heathrow are also being cancelled.
Note for context in terms of how many routes might actually be affected: there are about 4000 members of MF (of which ~2,700 are Unite members and therefore eligible to take industrial action) and 15,000 total cabin crew

Was mentioned in The Evening Standard this evening as well - surprised it wasn't mentioned earlier.
If the strike ballot is successful, it looks like New Years could be a potential time frame (my opinion based on end of ballot time table and minimum notice required if action is taken).

Sounds like BA have been playing hardball with the salaries. Quelle surprise. Didn't they make CSM's take up to a £9k pay drop at Gatters last year? Great way to incentivise staff…

There has been no pay rise for CSM's since 2010 and the elapsed hourly rate (which is paid in lieu of allowances) has gone up from £2.40 an hour in 2010 to £3.00 an hour in 2014. The proposed pay increase of 2% would see the elapsed hourly rate increased from £3.00 to £3.06.

I do believe that the senior Gatwick crew did suffer a pay cut last year, although I do not know the details.
I do hope that BA will be able to provide an increased salary to their crew.

Not sure why they are striking - surely they know what the salary is before they take the job? I am not defending what seems like very low pay, but if you don't like the pay, don't take the job.

I think the perceived glamour of the job tends to cloud the judgement of what often young, inexperienced people. Once the reality of the job sets in, they realise thet they are been taken for a ride.

There is a huge mistrust of the company and their management and unfortunately they have indicated to the Mixed Fleet union they won't negotiate any further than a 6p an hour pay rise.
