BA have LHR-HEL-TLL in J/Y for about £235 return, yielding 200TPs and offering the possibility of a ride on the Finnair A350 or a blue & yellow Airbus (for a €130 surcharge). See also this thread for more details and discussion of the fare.

FAQ

Where to sit on the HEL-TLL-HEL legs?
If the flight is operated by an ATR-72, then at the back because boarding and disembarking is through stairs at the back of the plane. However, for more legroom the first row (which can be row 1 or 2 depending on the ATR) is the best choice. In HEL there will be a bus transfer, in TLL the plane will pull up at the gate and stairs are used to go one level up to the departures and arrivals area (same level).
Seatmaps for Finnair planes can be found here.

Row 1 on the E90 provides the best leg room.

Please note that this flight usually takes between 15 and 22 minutes. During the flight, a crew member walks through the cabin with a basket of chocolates. No drinks are served and the fasten seat belt sign usually remains on for the duration. No chocolates on the ATR72 flights, unfortunately.

Also note that overhead bin space on the ATR-72 is limited and you might be asked to put your luggage under the seat in front of you. They do not offer gate bag check in.

How to get to town?
Information on public transportation has been provided here (courtesy of Valgamaa).

Where to stay in Tallinn?
Information have been provided here.

Where to eat/drink in Tallinn?
Here, here and here

How much time do I need at TLL to go through security?
TLL airport is very small. With fasttrack you can be at the gate within 10 minutes. Boarding for the 6.10am flight is officially 5.30 or so, but it usually starts later than that. AY's ATR usually leaves from gate 5, the E90 left from gate 9. Anyways, it doesn't really matter where it leaves, because the airport is so small.

Do I get lounge access at TLL?
Yes, show your HEL-LHR boarding pass also to get access.
For directions, please use the TLL terminal map.

Do I get lounge access at HEL?
Yes, since your outbound to LHR is in Business Class. The Schengen Lounge for HEL-TLL is located near gates 23/24 (one level up, access with status), the non Schengen lounge between gates 35 and 36. For directions, please use the HEL terminal map.
There are reports of non-status passengers being granted access to the Schengen Lounge at HEL for the TLL bound flight if shown the J boarding pass from LHR to HEL.

TP/avios earnings?
If your ticket is issued by BA, you will earn full TP and avios (+tier bonus)
If your ticket is issued by AY, you will earn full TP and base avios (no tier bonus).
LHR-HEL will earn 80TP each way, HEL-TLL 20 TP each way.
Please use the calculator on BA.com to determine the exact amount of avios earned.

Is it possible to do a back to back (B2B) at TLL?
Yes. You disembark at the same level as departures are. Simply wait in the gate area until the flight is boarding.

When and where can I check in online?
Use the AY PNR to check in online 36h before your flight in the AY App and get a mobile boarding pass.

What time should I get to TLL airport
Slightly earlier than you'd think.

The Hilton does not look very convenient for a very short trip. It is possible I will book a hotel, but it will be somewhere in the Old Town where I assume we will be going for drinks & food.

I half expect you all to wind up in a dorm at the Monk's Bunk Party Hostel.

The Hilton is not very centrally located yet VERY easy to get to places from there. Also taxis are VERY cheap in Tallinn. The Hilton also has a nice lounge if there are a few HHD's among you a cheap early start to the drinks the pool/sauna area is also very relaxing the morning after if the drinks were late into the morning

The Hilton is my go to hotel in Tallinn nowadays!

I can see it is easy to get to. However, on a trip where I am in a city for 12 hours I don't want to wast time and money getting taxis/trams, and I want somewhere withing 5 minutes walk of where we are going out.

A very cheap and not that bad option is the Baltic Hotel Vana Viru. Right in Old Town and more than enough to just spend a few hours and have a shower.

Otherwise I've been at Hotel Bern a few years ago, which is alright.

Surely there are more high-end options in Old Town (Hotel Telegraaf) for those who want that. Nordic Hotel Forum and the Sokos hotel are right at the edge of Old Town and might be an option.

Swissôtel and Radisson Blu (skyhotel, not Olumpia) are closer to Old Town than the Hilton.

I now have 4 trips to TLL booked, one with domestic add-ons in O class, so little earning potential, but only cost me £268 for 210 TPs and time in CCR on Sunday midday.

Thanks for the recommendations florens. I will be looking to book something for this and my other booked trips. I think I would prefer to stay om the Old Town on the other trips which are long weekends. Mid-range is fine for me.

St Olav's (aparthotel, so potential for sharing) is £61 on Kaligo + 1500 avios for your troubles (ie brings this booking up to a full 9000 for an RFS, which if used well makes this jolly even more attractive)

You're very welcome KARFA. If you have any more questions about Tallinn, then just feel free to ask here or at the Pre-Christmas London-Do. I spent quite a bit of time in Tallinn.

BA now has these flights as almost £500 booking into D class, even though Expert Flyer is showing it as I1 on the outbound.

I had planned to take the A350 out and then spend a bit longer in TLL and catch an afternoon flight home but as the price has doubled, I think that I am out for the moment

This time yesterday after my fare cock up, they told me that only D fare buckets were available. During the evening I was able to book another I bucket fare for £230ish, and so cancelled my original one this morning at 6am on the train home from work. Fingers crossed you can get availability.

Booked it this morning, so count me in - woop!!

Got the same flights (A350) as most on the way out but coming back at a more reasonable time on the Sunday:
AY110 @ 12:45
AY833 @ 16:00

Staying at the Hilton so hopefully its not too much trouble (I wonder if Uber has hit Tallinn yet?)
