I'll have you know I've been happily married for 4 years.

Ha! True. I'm now a singleton and very happy.

No more of that "Are you on that ruddy flying thing again?" (in fairness she was very understanding about it all, my solo trips and she's a fantastic Mum to Jnr P )

It's hard to believe that this thread is now more than three years ago, but my favourite Flyertalk thread and a Flyertalk BA classic is the highly contested question of whether you can wear shorts in First class... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...rts-first.html

I wonder how long it would be before that thread got locked these days?

I don't actually remember it, but I'm enjoying reading it now!

Yes and I'm surprised T8191 was allowed to post 15 times to the thread. He didn't have that Gold benefit back then.

I'm surprised this one hasn't been posted yet (or I missed it!). Fabulous way to spend half an hour if you haven't read it yet..

It's a great pity most of the photos in that report don't work any more.

Wow that was an amazing read, thanks for posting it! Its always good to get a reminder about how much work goes on behind the scenes when problems hit and that the staff are usually doing their best to get everyone home safely.

Ah! Which of you remember the Palm Tree saga? Some travel agent got bumped from F to J as hs connection from ZRH or GVA was late. There was little wit and very very bad humour but it was a classic piece of DYKWHI - I guessed that he was a Travel Agent on an AD75 or whatever they were called back then - all this took place years ago. He claimed to have successfully sued BA and bought a Palm Tree.

Can anyone else recall this? I wouldn't know what the thread was titled.
