Brought to tears by BA video - and no it's not about mum
I recently watched (for the 5th time) the 787-9 F video :
And it never fails to bring an emotional tear to my eye ??? How do they do this!
I am concerned I have been brainwashed - am in a cult ?
Does anyone else get this or do I need professional help..

747's, 757's, Nimrod, Hawks, BAC 1-11's, F16's, A10's, MD80's, DC3's - have the Kleenex at the ready. Concorde taking off - better make it a bucket.
But that video - nothing.

I can't really understand how this could bring a tear to your eye with or without sound.
Also the video is linked and discussed in several places in the 787-9 thread:

I actually heard the same soundtrack on an ad for Air Berlin and nothing - no emotion (ironically on an Etihad A380).
Hence - BA subliminally manipulated me? Maybe GGLs are immune

I'll give you an out here and guess you're mostly reacting to the music. It's called Sunshine--- I think used first in the Danny Boyle movie of the same name. The piece has been (over) used now by marketers and film makers who want to elicit an expansive sense of grandeur. I very much like the tune, though:
