Read my last sentence - again. Not everyone reading BAEC on FT understands British humour - even though we can spell it correctly. WFIW, kids running around an aircraft and in a lounge does smack of "poor parenting skills" - even when meant as a joke. YMMV.

A 4-year old boy in full flow (which, admittedly, rarely happens) cannot be contained, constrained or in any other way controlled!
Here are my two behaving very nicely in BA F:

I have, by the way, managed to teach the German woman who writes Shopper Points for me how to 'do' irony, British style, so there is hope for you :-)

Thanks Raffles ^
Thanks for the very nice reply. My 2 sons are 17 months apart. Been there and done that - but never had lounge access while travelling with them. I was almost 40 when the first was born (29 years ago). Both are dual citizens (Canada and UK).
I agree wrt hope as it ALWAYS springs eternal

Thanks for the photos.
I think what we really want to know is what drinks are being served in the CCR Bar, and if there are any "better" food choices ??

QR operates F,rather than J on DXB-DOH (obviously it's not real F,rather a "US style J class marketed as F),so I beleive it will be a First class lounge. If the access policy will be the same as in DOH/LHR,then I beleive that F (inclduing BA F) customers will be allowed in,but Emerald/Sapphire will be sent to some kind of a dump lounge elsewhere.

Doesn't seem unreasonable, I guess if BA thought its customers deserved a F facility they would have organised one....

Food is almost identical to the 'normal' lounge - at least in terms of hot meals. Last night was a Thai red curry, steamed rice or vegetable pasta. Larger selection of deserts and other nibbles. 3 choices of red wine and 3 of white wine. The red I drank was a Chianti. Not sure re: the fizz - not really my thing.
