But I will check into it!

OK assuming i dont change job or get sacked by the client my flight to jersey is booked on July 30th.

I'll be staying at the Royal Yacht Saturday to Monday. They have silver double rooms for 109 quid a night prepaid (i booked that). Gold Double room is Ł138 a night prepaid and anyone wanting a penthouse can pay a lot lot more.

PS, if anyone asks I am not in Jersey that weekend, I am in Quebec. Qs is how i can get home at a believable time on Monday (Glasgow) without getting the 7am LGW flight on monday.... might just pretend i was delayed...coughcough.

jcm9000, you must qualify for the "trevelled furthest to get to a Do" award!! I hope you get to see a bit of JER while youre there, but appreciate your travel arrangements are likely to be the main consideration.

when I get home I will possibly start a new thread, with Wiki, as I usually do. The admirable BotB usually assists with maintaining that as well. Although my first (reserved) post should suffice. But I'm not going to try and do it all on iPad

Well Uncle T, it was sort of on the way home, a Ł930 J ex-dub came along for the exact dates (A330 to/from PHL again, hurrah!) i wanted coming back friday night post meeting. I usually have to wait until sunday for the cheap return, and with a 2.5 hr connection for a flight that just happens to be going to JER it really would have been rude not to, and I look forward to brielfy sampling Jersey life!

Grateful as always, dear Sir ^

We get home on the 18th, IIRC. Once I've confirmed availability with The Bar (no problems expected) I will kick off with the usual Post 1 and Wiki for everyone's delectation

You'll both have to be quick as I imagine the other 38-48* FTers will have something to say about it...

* 2 non-alcoholics removed from total...(c-w-s, who will attend from some ridiculous routing involving at least 4 segments....and chris1979, who will promise to attend, threaten to join some ridiculous attire bet for the day and then do a no-show )

For those that are considering it, worth a trip, especially at that time of year when the weather is nice and warm. Enjoy a lovely afternoon in the Sun and meet a few (or a lot, up to you) FTers...and drink/eat as much or as little as you like (no pressure to drink alcohol, drinking jokes aside)...although it must seem like a meeting of AMEX anonymous users to those passing by... @:-)

I think yesterday's HNL Mini-Do has convinced a few people that FT-ers are reasonably sane/safe, and thus have become possible new attendees!

Jamier45 and I shall arrive the night before

However, I make no guarantees that I will arrive at the do before those on BA 2772
