Longhaul 767s active across EU in Dec

I have a few flights planned in December across EU primarily on 767s - when booked all were on shorthaul and now the seat maps have all changed to long haul - I have a flight out to Stockholm at very end of December for New Year so its a nice treat to be flying Club on such a short flight - I do love CW on these birds! Why such activity on the LH 767s and what is the likelihood of this switching back to a SH? I have flown these many times but only when switched at last minute and now having visibility of seat map 6 weeks out?

TCX69 reported this was down to a couple of the SH 767s being repainted during Dec, so it is planned but of course an equipment change is always possible on a given flight.

There are also a couple of LHR-MAD rotations being operated by 772s.

As if to prove the point, LX are using a 777 on certain flights ZRH-LHR-ZRH (and some others) in February 2016.

That link is several weeks old.

Two of us have been booked on a GLA flight for months and looks like it has changed to a LH 767. I initially booked 2A/B but it is now showing up as I have 4 seats reserved for this flight! 16A/B and 2A/B. It won't let me move around the cabin, it's all greyed out, how do I make sure I get the CW seats??

I was told rows 1-13 are blocked untill T72 hours then you can select them.

Hi,

I am on the 1434 to EDI on 6th Dec ( coming back from MCO via PHL ) and had 1A booked. Now I have 16A and cannot change them.

Looks like I will need to try BERbound's advice and log in from WDW at T-72

Regards

Nothing wrong with 16A, lots of legroom.

But not the lie-flat CS seats. [CS = Club Scotland]

I have a 1464 booked for mid-december and have the same auto-allocated 16A with no ability to change. Interestingly, if you try and make a new booking on ba.com, it appears you can choose 1-13 during the booking process, but no seats have been taken yet.

Has anything changed your MMB yet?

This is exactly the scenario I have, in MMB I can see myself in 2A/B but it says I have 4 seats reserved with 16A/B as well (everything is greyed out and I cant move anywhere). When I make a fresh booking though I am able to select the very seats I am in (2A/B) so don't think I have actually been allocated these.

Might give the gold line a call....

Lucky for those going to Scotland and Madrid but not so lucky for those heading off just now on 115 to Cairo in a SH 763.

Just noticed ZHC pulling out of A4 en route to Cairo. Ouch.

My apologies - I meant A5.

Either way, a SH 763 operated the Cairo flight tonight.
