AY J from CDG to DEL for GBP970 on their A330.

And for those needing to be in the IT capital of India: UL in their fabulous new J from CDG to BLR for GBP 1173

More deals on UL: BOM works as well on UL for the same price, as do DEL, TRZ, KUL and SIN.

Is October a blackout period for many of these deals or is availability just gone already?

I've been looking to take an ex-EU trip to SFO around the end of October, and the lowest price I've been able to find is from BRU at ~GBP 1,650... much higher than the GBP1,200 I'm used to seeing as an option!

There are currently no active exEU sales, I believe.

Strike that... You can fly exOSL to LAX and SFO for around GBP 1100 but not in September and October.

The last week of October is school half term so most prices spike up. A good test is to search the same flights for LHR-SFO only (ex-UK) and see if that week is indeed more expensive than others weeks.

I just checked this and it's no longer on offer. Too bad as it is exactly what I am looking for :-(

Found this too. Out of AMS and back to LHR...

AMS-LHR-JFK-GRU-(MIA)-JFK-LHR for GBP 1191

You can do EZE instead of GRU for 20 quid more. GIG is more expensive at GBP 1381.

If anyone could help I would be my appreciated - I am looking for flights to MEL in J, in the next week or two, and very flexible for dates or departure locations (I'm LHR based), returning 3 weeks later. I was trying to get the CX deal mentioned to display, but with no luck.

Its somewhat outdated i fear. I did an Oslo to Adelaide flight in December, and it was QR to Doha, then CX the rest of the way. CX are stopping flying to Doha this month i believe, so you won't be able to get it to price a return flight to Oslo.
OSL-LHR-HKG-MEL return is coming up around 1800 from expeida, searched on Kayak +-3 days for the first wednesday in march, 3 weeks.

Anything in J under GBP 2000 is good value - especially at short notice. Forget departing from LHR unless you wish to pay substantially more. You will need to depart from Ex Eu. I m doing OSL DOH MEL in 3 weeks for 3 weeks and again 6 weeks later for 2 weeks in J - cost me GBP 1100 & 1400 but that was entirely due to early booking (and a QR sale) based on advice from this forum. I am sure that if there is a deal to be had someone will advise. Good luck (May see you in OSL!)

If you are traveling with a partner you may be able to use this offer on UL but it needs to be booked TODAY and you need to enrol in their FFP first. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/premi...-1278-2-a.html

It will get you to HKG, SIN, NRT etc and then you can book an add on. No use if you're traveling alone though and I can't find any other deals either.
